6th World Firefighters Games; Mantes, France
6 to 13 July 2000

Many participants only dreamed of visiting the beautiful city of Paris - the firefighters (Sapeurs - Pompiers) of Mantes made that dream come to reality. The organisers worked laboriously to ensure participants enjoyed the competition and their stay, however for the first time the Games were hampered by inclement weather. Nonetheless, the competition was outstanding, the people friendly and accommodating, and to top it off, the hosts served fine food and wine - what more could one ask for (perhaps a little less rain next time).

Overall Winner, Women: C Copin, France. 14:54:70
